Organizing Your Home

If you haven’t already, now is the time to start organizing your home for Baby #2! Start by purchasing some storage bins and labeling them accordingly (one for clothes, one for toys, etc). Consider getting rid of items your older child no longer needs or uses. This can help free up much-needed space in their bedroom and nursery.

Prepare Yourself Mentally

It’s natural to feel overwhelmed when thinking about welcoming a new addition to your family. Be sure to take some “me time” throughout the pregnancy so that you don’t become too overwhelmed with all of the changes happening around you. Talk with other parents who have had more than one child; they can provide valuable advice on how best to prepare both mentally and emotionally.

Understand Physical Changes

Your body is going through many changes during a second pregnancy, so it’s important to understand what those changes are and how they might affect you. You’ll want to pay close attention to any cramping or back pain – these could be signs of preterm labor or other major issues that need medical attention right away.

Additionally, make sure you’re eating healthy foods and getting plenty of rest – taking care of yourself is key!
